What Does 2020 Hold For You?
Updated: Apr 20
As we come to the close of 2019, do you stop and reflect back on how it turned out?
How did you grow this year? What lessons did you learn? Who invested in you? What are you most proud of?
At the end of each year, I stop and pull out my calendar and review all the things that I did. In my opinion, if you don’t see what and where you have gone & things you have done, then how will you know if you made any progress or not? Or, how do you plan for the new year? Or, do you plan? If you are not happy where you are, then now is a great time to figure out why, if you want to change that.
One huge goal for me - I MOVED INTO MY GLAMOUR CLOSET! I feel like I got my Certificate of Occupancy! If you live in the city, a lot of municipalities require a piece of paper issued by the local building or zoning authority that says your building project is safe to move in! That means the general contractor and all the trades are through and they get paid by the homeowner for the work completed.
This was a year long project. We added 800 square feet to our home. As I sit and reflect on 2019, I am able to do it from my new sitting area in our master wing. And, the Glamour Closet is a huge area of this new addition!
My husband and I learned, it is never too late to see your dream come true!
Never give up!
A few items did not get finish that I put on 2019 list. Soooo I am applying for a new
Building Permit (goals) for 2020!
If you live in a city, most of them require a permit to start a construction project. The general contractor applies for the permit with a set of plans laying out the scope of work to be done and the trades involved in each stage of the project. The inspectors goal is to make sure proper safety standards are met.
Two items that are in the new Building Permit that were not completed in 2019,
Publish my 2nd book. I did get a publisher and I am very excited to be working with them.
